Língua-mãe 2017 Instalação sonora interativa A instalação sonora Língua-mãe é uma proposta interativa de reconfiguração da linguagem. Em Língua-mãe, a discussão sobre as possibilidades da língua se torna iminente na recombinação de significados e significâncias, destituindo as letras de fonemas e as palavras de imagens pré-codificadas. A instalação funciona a partir de um programa de computador que é ativado por um teclado. Para cada letra teclada, um banco sonoro de mais de 1200 palavras é ativado randomicamente, e disparado nas caixas de som. Assim, quando o interator se propõe a escrever alguma coisa, ele está automaticamente desconstruindo a imagem mental que possuía, pois acaba sendo bombardeado com palavras inesperadas e aleatórias ao mesmo tempo que as digita. A inserção de palavras na aleatoriedade do significar de cada letra confere ao interator o poder de criar signos outros a partir daquilo que escreve. A instalação foi montada no Circuito Internacional Universitário da Bienal de Curitiba de 2017, no Museu Municipal de Arte de Curitiba, e remontado em 2019 no Linha, em Porto Alegre, na exposição coletiva Devir Ciborgue. Linguagem alterada. O homem em processo de reconstrução. O som, em estado latente de construção. Em códigos livres, a constante criação em cima de cânones. A instalação sonora interativa propõe ao público a criação coletiva de novas semânticas durante o ato mesmo da escritura: cada letra contém, em si, um banco de dados de palavras que começam com tal letra, embaralhando o significado original da palavra pensada-escrita. | Mother-tongue 2017 Interactive sound installation The sound installation Língua-mãe is an interactive proposal for reconfiguring language. In Mother Tongue, the discussion about the possibilities of language becomes imminent in the recombination of meanings and significances, depriving letters of phonemes and words of pre-coded images. The installation works using a computer program that is activated by a keyboard. For each letter typed, a sound bank of more than 1200 words is randomly activated and played in the speakers. Thus, when the interactor proposes to write something, he is automatically deconstructing the mental image he had, as he ends up being bombarded with unexpected and random words at the same time as he types them. The insertion of words in the random meaning of each letter gives the interactor the power to create other signs based on what he writes. The installation was set up at the 2017 Curitiba Biennial International University Circuit, at the Curitiba Municipal Art Museum, and reassembled in 2019 at Linha, in Porto Alegre, at the collective exhibition Devir Ciborgue. Reformat words so they become something that previously did not propose to be. Reinterpretation, updated language. Old words that become new. Meaningful words. Changed language. The man in the process of reconstruction. The sound, in a latent state of construction. In free codes, the constant creation on top of canons. Staying conditioned means tying yourself to the clock and stopping at time. On what mix verb & direct transitive Distorted imaginaries; in altered languages. The fragmentation of the word into mere sound existence: Reconfigure the sign so that it restructures existence. The interactive sound installation proposes to the public the collective creation of new semantics during the very act of writing: each letter contains, in itself, a database of words that begin with that letter, shuffling the original meaning of the thought-written word.
